Too Punny

February 4th, 2008

My semester has been off to a slow start — I’ve only done a few assignments and no real studying yet. I’m bracing myself for the semester to get into gear, but in the meantime, I’ve spent this weekend apartment hunting online, doing crosswords, dabbling in homework and, most of all, playing Quest For Glory: So You Want To Be A Hero? —

This, of course, leads into the point of my post. Okay, so, one of my favorite things about old school adventure (well, in this case adventure/RPG) games is that they always have the most deliciously terrible puns. And, just when you didn’t think it could get any better, in this game, I came across a grammatical pun, which is just that much worse. So here goes:

What’s the difference between a cheetah and a comma?
A cheetah has claws at the end of its paws, and ….

(wait for it…)

(waaaait for it….)

A comma puts a pause at the end of a clause!

HAHAHAHahaha. Anyway, I just thought I would spread the joy. Also, I need a new game to play now that I’ve beat Quest for Glory — albeit with only 492 out of 500 possible points. Those last 8 points are driving me crazy, but oh well. I am obsessive, but not quite obsessive enough to spend hours trying to get 8 points. I think. Maybe.
