Bookstore Antics

August 21st, 2005

I am often quite shocked at how utterly confused some customers are. One customer assured me that she was “one hundred percent sure” that the title of the book she was looking for had the words “five” and “season” in it. Turns out the title was “That was Then, This is Now” by S.E. Hinton. Five seasons? Really? Oh, and someone asked Ryan today if he could rent a book at Barnes and Noble.

No. No, you may not. Go to a library, moron.

Of course, there are happy moments, too. One lady made a point of telling my manager how helpful I’d been. w00t. Every once in a while you manage to have a genuinely interesting conversation with someone, etc. All in all, I’m pretty sad that I have to leave soon. I shall miss it dearly. It wouldn’t be so bad if I knew that all the other employees would still be there when I came back, but it seems a large amount of people will be transferring to the new store at Preston Royal cause it’s closer to their homes. Blah.

Anyway, there is a new girl. Her name is Jennifer Love. She is dating Arun. Weird.
